INXS

INXS was an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Michael Hutchence, brothers Andrew Farriss (keyboard, guitar) and Tim Farriss (lead guitar), Jon Farriss (drums), Garry Gary Beers (bass), and Kirk Pengilly (guitar, saxophone). They achieved significant success throughout the 1980s and 1990s, becoming one of Australia's most popular and internationally recognized rock bands.

INXS's music is often described as a blend of rock, new wave, and funk, with catchy melodies, infectious rhythms, and Hutchence's charismatic vocals at the forefront. They released numerous hit songs, including "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," "Devil Inside," and "Never Tear Us Apart," which helped establish their sound and solidify their place in the music industry.

The band's live performances were known for their energy and Hutchence's magnetic stage presence. Their concerts captivated audiences with their dynamic performances and powerful musicianship.

Tragically, Michael Hutchence passed away in 1997, which led to a hiatus for the band. INXS continued with various guest vocalists for a period, but ultimately decided to disband in 2012.
